AFRICAN DANCE

Our Dance classes offer opportunities to learn about the relationship, communication & language that are shared between a drummer & a dancer. 

We share call and response, polyrhythms, storytelling, song, drums, and movement. Classes are structured with a warm-up, across-the-floor, and then a sharing of ballet style West African dances. 

Students will experience the joy and freedom of West African dance by learning about the many cultures of the African Diaspora.
